First new look at Prezzo Italian Media City

After almost two weeks, the Prezzo Italian in Media City, Salford, has started the New Year with a brand new look. Brighter and bluer, the restaurant re-opened its doors to customers last Saturday, on the 24th of January.

Formerly Prezzo, the venue is one of the first Prezzo Italian locations to be refurbished this year. The chain celebrated its 25th anniversary last year while the Media City location, the first Prezzo location to open in Greater Manchester, will be celebrating 15 years in the summer.

The new interior is as warm as the Italian sun, with a bigger and better bar, a regular special menu and everything freshly made.

Rob Lumley, the General Manager at Prezzo Italian Media City, reflects on almost a week of the new look. “It’s early days, although it’s still the same firm, we’re like a new restaurant. We’re trying loads of different things to keep us fresh and make us stand out more. With us now being Prezzo Italian, we hope that people will recognise us more.”

Along with their new look and menu, Prezzo Italian Media City continues to offer the same but superb attractions with its proximity to places such as the Lowry Centre, the Imperial War Museum and the Salford Quays.

The refurbishment also comes at a quieter time of year for hospitality as the bustle of Christmas comes down to a halt. Dry January has been a popular pull for venues to entice customers with those few pennies left over from Christmas. Rob discusses plans for their next big holiday.

“We’ve got a set menu for Valentine’s Day, for anyone who wants to have a romantic lunch,” Rob says. “Our focus is the refurb now but of course with our anniversary coming up in the summer, we’ll have a set day where we do something fun.”

To celebrate the reopening, Prezzo Italian is offering 50% off on food until the 8th of February. For more on the deal and the refurbishment, head over to their website and the official Prezzo Italian Instagram.
