Optimism has started to build around Gigg Lane as they were rewarded another promotion in the recent season. There has been increased fan engagement within the Bury community and a clear long-term vision has been set. These factors have contributed to the club’s revival.
Bury FC has experience a steady rise in support from young supporters and this has helped grow attendances over the season, which has been higher than other teams in the same division. Due to this Bury has been able to develop and put belief back into their supporters.

The local community has played a key role in this revival. Bury FC has become a fan-owned club and has been supported by volunteers that has helped stabilise the club and improve the match day experience.
A lifelong supporter, Lee Carter, said, “I’m glad that the club has found stability after being liquidated out of the English Football League and I’m glad the fans are back at Gigg Lane cheering the lads on.”

After being liquidated in 2019, Bury fans voted to merge with their phoenix club, Bury AFC which was playing in the tenth tier. In 2026, Bury managed to get promoted to the NPL Premier division, known as the 7th tier of English Football League.
In October 2025, Djavan Pedro, a Bury FC player, spoke about the fans involvement with the players and mentioned that, “teams are switching halves in the first half because they know, if we get behind the fans in the second half it gives us an extra boost straight away.”

As the progress continues, Bury FC are an example of how the community can come together and how long-term planning can bring a historic club back to life.
In the last two seasons, Bury FC has seen two titles in a row. Last season, Bury FC broke the attendance record for North West Counties League Premier Division. This season, Bury FC clinched the title with a 3-0 win at Atherton Collieries despite second-place Avro winning 13-0 against Darlaston Town.
