Man dies in Oldham horror crash as police appeal for witnesses

A man has died following a serious three-vehicle collision on Broadway in Royton, prompting an urgent appeal for information from police.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Elk Mill Retail Park at around 5:22 pm on Tuesday (17 March), after reports of a crash involving three vehicles.

Police have confirmed today that a man in his 50s has died due to the collision, with several others injured.

Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is working to establish the full circumstances.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or who has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward and assist the investigation.

The stretch of Broadway was closed for several hours following the crash while emergency services responded and investigations were carried out.
