
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a dad of three died after an incident in Crumpsall.
Greater Manchester Police were called to Crescent Road at 23:50 on Monday March 23.
The victim, now named as Nawaz Khan, 43, was found lying unconscious in the road and later died in hospital.
The suspect remains in custody on suspicion of murder.
Det Insp Chris Chadderton said: “This is a tragic incident in which a man has sadly lost his life, and our thoughts are firmly with his loved ones.
“We have a team of detectives working to piece together the events leading up to his death and are continuing to explore all available lines of inquiry.
“We urge anyone who may have seen anything to please contact us as this could be vital to our investigation.
“This includes any CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area at the time, or information from anyone who may have seen something suspicious”
Mr Khans sister, Nazleen Khan, paid tribute to her brother describing him as one of the ‘gentlest souls’ you could ever meet whose family were the ‘centre of his world’.
Surayah Khan, the victim’s daughter said: “He was a wonderful person. He had three children who he adored, he would go the lengths of the earth for them”.
